You have questions? we have answers.
- What are your products made of?
Sapadilla products are plant-based, made with pure essential oils and ingredients derived from naturally occurring sugars, and corn, coconut and palm oils. You will find specific information on each product, including an ingredient list, on each product’s information page.
- Where are your products made?
Our products are made in small batches in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
- Are your products antibacterial?
Our products are antimicrobial. They contain Lactic Acid, which is a natural antimicrobial and effective on bacteria, mold, and mildew. Lactic Acid works synergistically with Ethyl Alcohol, another potent sanitizing ingredient we include. Finally, all our products contain essential oils, which are also naturally antimicrobial. However, we don’t make any specific antibacterial claims as products that claim they are “antibacterial” must receive Health Canada certification and usually contain pesticides that are harmful to human health and the environment. Toxic antibacterial agents are not only totally unnecessary in the average healthy household, but several studies have proven them no more effective at “germ killing” than plain soap and water. See? Once again, simple is the answer.
- Are you products safe around kids and pets?
Absolutely safe! Sapadilla products are made with naturally occurring non-toxic ingredients, many cosmetic and food grade. So they’re completely safe around kids, pets and your Great Aunt Hilda.
- How Do I Clean Granite?
Granite surfaces are similar to glass; they streak easily. All our products are highly concentrated, so we recommend using a small amount of our Countertop Cleanser—two or three light spritzes, followed by wiping with a damp cloth.
- How Do I Clean Glass / Windows?
It just so happens our All Purpose Cleaner makes a stellar glass and mirror cleaner. It’s highly concentrated, so just mix a drop—and we mean a drop—of the All Purpose Cleaner with lots of water (we recommend 1% -2% dilution). Wipe or spritz the solution onto windows, mirrors or glass, then buff using newspaper or a lint free cloth.
- How Do I Clean the Washroom?
Our All Purpose Cleaner, designed for a near-infinite number of tasks, is—you guessed it—also perfect for cleaning the washroom. It contains Lactic Acid to naturally remove mineral deposits, soap scum and lime scale, plus Ethyl Alcohol to keep things super sanitary. And, being biodegradable, it’s safe to flush or rinse down the drain.
- Washroom - Floors and Fixtures
To clean floors and fixtures, dilute 1 or 2 tbsp in 4 litres of water, and scrub using a sponge or cloth. If you have dark surfaces, you may want to rinse with a clean wet sponge or cloth.
- Washroom - Toilets
To clean toilets, pour a small amount of our All Purpose Cleaner into the toilet bowl or directly onto a toilet brush. Start scrubbing, working your way from under the rim downwards. Let sit a few minutes, then flush.
- Washroom - Tub, Tile & Showers
To clean tub, tiles, and showers we recommend diluting 1 or 2 tbsp in 4 litres of water. If surfaces are really grimy (hey, we’re not judging), use full-strength with a non-scratching scouring pad or natural bristle brush. Scrub a little, rinse a little, admire a lot.
